Future support may help KITPro spend more time building, testing, documenting, and maintaining useful technology.
Hardware testing
Test systems, replacement components, memory and storage samples, and validation hardware.
Compatibility validation
Time and infrastructure needed to test real hardware, operating systems, firmware, and configurations.
Infrastructure
Hosting, build systems, project services, domains, storage, backups, and other operational costs.
Prototypes
Early product samples and prototype work for future KITPro hardware directions such as Memory and Storage.
Support should make the work more visible, not less.
As funding systems are introduced, KITPro intends to clearly distinguish project support, product purchases, preorders or reservations, professional services, and sponsorships. The exact reporting approach will be decided before any contribution system launches.
Support is not a product purchase or promise.
Supporting KITPro does not currently purchase a product, reserve inventory, establish a preorder, grant equity, or guarantee access to future hardware or a release date. KITPro Memory remains in early development.
