A Linux direction for personal computing.

KITPro OS explores an approachable, inspectable Linux experience for personal computing. It remains in development and is not a public release.

Linux stays visible.

The goal is a focused operating-system layer built on recognizable Linux tools and workflows. Ownership includes the ability to inspect and change the system.

Stability is a release process.

A dependable system needs more than a package list. Repository ownership, test promotion, and lifecycle policy are part of the product.

Controlled repositories

Package sources and product boundaries should be explicit and reviewable.

Tested promotion

Changes should move through deliberate validation before reaching a stable channel.

Predictable lifecycle

Updates, support windows, and transitions should be understandable before they affect a system.

Server does not wait for OS.

KITPro Server remains useful on supported Linux hosts without requiring KITPro OS. Future integration must preserve that clear boundary.

Follow the work without treating a direction as a release.

KITPro will publish release scope and availability when the engineering work supports those claims.
