KITPRO LINUX SERVER / RELEASE / 1.1
Native installation, safer storage decisions, and a signed upgrade path.
KITPro Linux Server 1.1 is the first release with the final native Installer 1.2.0 runtime. It keeps KITPro Console optional and preserves the focused, no-telemetry server base.
What changed in 1.1
The release combines the native installation work with the immutable-generation and recovery model qualified during the 1.0-to-1.1 transition.
- Native Installer 1.2.0 with Quick and Custom storage workflows
- Manual GPT layouts, Btrfs, LUKS2, LVM, and LVM-on-LUKS2
- Preservation-aware installation and compatible EFI reuse
- Fresh target identity and eligibility checks before destructive writes
- Linux LTS 6.18.59 with AppArmor and previous-kernel fallback
- Production-signed immutable generation 1.1-g0001
- Package-manager-backed upgrade from Linux 1.0 generation 1.0-g0002
Qualified scope
Quick ext4, encrypted LVM, and preservation/EFI reuse passed in disposable QEMU. Quick ext4 also passed installation and ISO-free boot on the qualified Beelink system.
- Secure Boot remains unsupported.
- RAID, general dual boot, and advanced multi-disk layouts are unsupported.
- Physical testing covers one Beelink platform and does not establish universal hardware support.
- KITPro Console remains optional and is not installed or enabled by default.
Install, upgrade, and verify
Verify the signed metadata and ISO checksum before writing installation media.
